My name is Devin Collins, and I am a performer living on the west coast. After relocating from Tampa, FL where I performed as an Actor, Dancer, Singer, Acrobat & Stilt Walker for 7 1/2 years at Busch Gardens, Los Angeles is my new home. My training in Musical Theatre began in 3rd grade, and I've played saxophone for over 15 years. I graduated from Florida A & M University with a B.A. in Sociology, and a minor in Theatre. During my time at FAMU, I participated in the Incomparable Marching 100, H.A.2 National Championship Dance Team Inc., and joined Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia National Music Fraternity. I performed in the group "Sonny La Rosa & America's Youngest Jazz Band" where I toured the country as a Jazz/Big Band singer and musician, between the ages of 9-14 yr. old. We opened for artists such as Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Nancy Wilson, Roberta Flack and Al Jarreau. I also performed in the 2009 Inaugural Parade for President Barack Obama, and I was recently nominated for Best Male Performer at the 2014 IAAPA Awards. I sincerely believe that I was put on this earth to make people smile, and the way I feel I do that best is through performance; therefore whether vocally, physically, musically, etc., my belief is that the opportunities I have been so fortunately blessed with will one day help me reach my goal of making the whole world smile!
